Consumers, businesses, and policy makers have questions about AI, deepfakes, health privacy, and related issues, and the FTC wants to help facilitate an informed public discussion based on the facts. That’s why we’re hosting our eighth annual PrivacyCon event on March 6, 2024. The first order of business is to seek out by December 6, 2023, the latest empirical research and demonstrations from experts in the field. That could be where you come in.

If you have relevant research, PrivacyCon could be the perfect place to showcase your work on:

  • Automated system and artificial intelligence;
  • Health-related surveillance;
  • Children’s and teens’ privacy;
  • Deepfakes and voice clones;
  • Worker surveillance; and
  • The advertising ecosystem and surveillance advertising.

The Call for Presentations explains more about the kinds of research we’re looking for and how you can submit presentations by the December 6th deadline.

It’s also a good time to put PrivacyCon on your calendar for March 6, 2024. PrivacyCon is free and open to the public – and you can watch the webcast live. Subscribe to the Business Blog for updates about the agenda and the latest FTC developments related to privacy and data security.
