Event Description

A one-day public workshop in Atlanta focused on truth-in-advertising basics and data security compliance. Designed for business owners, advertising and marketing executives, and attorneys, the program features a roster of experts discussing established consumer protection and antitrust principles, new developments in the law, and their practical application in today’s marketplace. FTC Commissioner Rohit Chopra and Georgia Attorney General Christopher M. Carr will deliver remarks.

The Atlanta event is the first of the new Green Lights & Red Flags workshops the FTC and its regional partners will be hosting in cities across the country. It is sponsored by the FTC, the Office of the Georgia Attorney General, the State Bar of Georgia Antitrust Law Section, and the Better Business Bureau Serving Metro Atlanta. Rebooting an earlier series of business seminars, the all-new Green Lights & Red Flags addresses social media marketing, data security, and other trending topics on marketers’ minds.

The sponsors have asked the State Bar of Georgia to approve the program for six hours of Georgia continuing legal education credit, including one hour of professionalism credit.

For business executives, advertising professionals and others not seeking CLE credit, the registration fee of $20, payable to the State Bar of Georgia, includes lunch, beverages, and access to all workshop materials. Please register using this link for business professionals, or call 678-529-6688.

For attorneys seeking CLE credit, the registration fee of $250, payable to the State Bar of Georgia, includes lunch, beverages, and all workshop materials. Please register using this link for attorneys.
