Event Description

The Federal Trade Commission will host the third of its Debt Collection Dialogues in Atlanta, GA, on November 18, 2015. The FTC held the first Dialogue in Buffalo, NY, on June 15 and the second in Dallas, TX, on September 29.

At the Atlanta event, representatives from the FTC and other federal and state law enforcement agencies will talk with debt collection industry leaders about the agencies’ debt collection enforcement actions, consumer complaints about collection practices, debt collection compliance issues, and industry best practices. The federal and state representatives will also answer questions from industry members and others who attend the Dialogue, including questions about how regulatory enforcement actions are investigated and pursued. The event will be free and open to the public.

The Atlanta Dialogue will begin at 1:00 p.m. on November 18 at the Latin American Association, 2750 Buford Highway, Atlanta, GA.

Pre-registration for the Atlanta Dialogue is strongly recommended. To pre-register, please email only your name, title, organization, and email address to pre-reg-debtcollectiondialogue-atlanta@ftc.gov.

NOTE: If the number of pre-registrants is particularly large, we will add a message in the email auto-reply and on this event home page stating that pre-registration has closed but that those who have not pre-registered will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis.
