FTC sends payments to people who paid for money-making and coaching programs
The FTC is sending 39,500 checks totaling more than $2 million to people who paid for bogus get-rich-quick “kits” and coaching programs sold by John Beck Amazing Profits. The programs included “John Beck’s Free & Clear Real Estate System,” “Jeff Paul’s Shortcuts to Internet Millions,” and “John Alexander’s Real Estate Riches.”
The FTC sued John Beck Amazing Profits and associates for using bogus claims to sell personal coaching systems, and a federal court ordered the defendants to pay money. The defendants claimed that people who bought their systems would make a lot of money, but the FTC says that wasn’t true.
The FTC is now using the money from the settlement to provide refunds to people who paid the defendants.
If you get a check, please cash it within 90 days.
