Honors Paralegal: Student Interns
The Honors Paralegal Division offers summer and semester internship opportunities for undergraduate students at its Washington, D.C., office. Honors Paralegal interns are afforded the opportunity to learn more about pursuing a career in law, public policy, and economics. During their tenure, interns work alongside paralegals, attorneys, and economists on merger and conduct investigations and litigations. Under the supervision of paralegals, interns have the opportunity to perform a wide array of tasks, including, but not limited to: participating in witness interviews; reviewing documents; conducting legal research; providing expert support; managing the evidentiary record; and preparing for trial.
To apply for an internship with the Honors Paralegal Division, candidates should submit their resume and cover letter to Dominique Wilson, Lead Paralegal Specialist (dwilson1@ftc.gov) and Alejandra Gatas Johnson, Lead Paralegal Specialist (agatasjohnson@ftc.gov). Please apply by February 28th for summer internships; by May 31st for fall semester internships; and by September 30th for spring semester internships.
Honors Paralegal student internships are unpaid; however, students must receive a stipend or course credit for completing their internship. Interested students should contact their respective university for additional information.
Candidates must be U.S. citizens to be eligible for employment.
