Re: Transition Period for New Antitrust Improvements
Act Notification and Report Form

Dear Mr. Sipple:

This will confirm our telephone conversation this morning regarding the time period in which filing utilizing the Antitrust Improvements Act Notification Report Form for Certain Mergers and Acquisitions (the form) which calls for 1977 revenue data as opposed to the newly revised form which requires 1982 revenue data will be accepted. Pursuant to our discussion, I understand that you have interpreted the sixty day transitional period under which reporting persons may submit either 1977 or 1982 revenue data - use either the old form or the new form - to extend until 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, 1986, the end of the first business day following the sixtieth day (which falls over the weekend) after promulgation of the new form.

Thank you very much for your prompt cooperation.

Very truly yours,
