Rule 803.8 requires accuracy but does not require a particular method of translation.

Question

I hope this email finds you well. We were wondering if you could clarify whether 16 CFR §803.8 requires that foreign language documents be translated by a certified/sworn translator, or whether translations can be done by any person fluent in the relevant language, provided the translation is accurate and complete. If so, please let us know if there are any particular formalities that we would need to comply with.
