What is the settlement about?
Cerebral agreed to pay more than $5 million to settle charges brought by the FTC.
According to the FTC, Cerebral promised new customers when they signed up that they could easily cancel at any time. The FTC says that wasn’t true: Cerebral required customers to complete a complex multi-step process to cancel and often continued to charge people after they tried to cancel.
Who is eligible for a payment?
People are eligible for a payment if they tried to cancel their subscription before May 2022, and were still charged after the date of their request to cancel.
