The lines between different types of scams often get blurry. What they have in common are the lengths to which scammers will go to develop and use relationships to gain people’s trust. Join us for a special discussion as part of Older Americans Month that will include a firsthand account from someone who experienced a romance scam and now shares her experience to help others recover. We’ll also hear from representatives from the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the Commodity Future Trading Commission (CFTC) about how some of the most-reported scams work, and the free tools available to help you protect yourself and others.
