Commission authorization of the staff to file amended complaint: The Commission has authorized the staff to file an amended complaint in the matter currently pending against Cleverlink Trading Limited, Real World Media, Brian D. Muir, Jesse Goldberg, and Caleb Wolf Wickman. The Commission’s original complaint in this matter, filed in May 2005, alleged the corporate and individual defendants violated the CAN-SPAM Act through millions of e-mails sent to promote their adult Web sites. Through this action, the staff has filed an amended complaint seeking to add Crazy Protocol Communications, Inc., a California corporation, as a defendant in this matter.

The Commission vote authorizing the staff to file the amended complaint was 5-0. (FTC File No. X050048, Civil Action No. 05C 2889; the staff contact is Steve M. Wernikoff, FTC Midwest Region, 312-960-5630; see press release dated May 26, 2005.)
