Event Description

Imposter scams affect everyone, but scammers posing as well-known businesses and government agencies are increasingly going after retirees’ life savings. As part of National Consumer Protection Week, the FTC is hosting a discussion on top scams affecting older adults. Join representatives from the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Social Security Administration (SSA), and AARP for a one-hour discussion to empower older adults to spot and avoid scams and help others do the same. Panelists will also share advice to help older adults protect and recover from fraud.
