The data set includes information on Do Not Call and robocall complaints reported to the Federal Trade Commission. The data set contains information reported by consumers, including the telephone number originating the unwanted call, the date the complaint was created, the time the call was made, the consumer’s city and state locations reported, the subject of the call, and whether the call was a robocall. None of the information about the reported calls is verified.
This data set is typically updated each weekday by about noon Eastern time. Weekend data is included in Monday’s file and holiday data is included in the file posted the next business day. This data is used by telecommunications carriers and other industry partners implementing call-blocking solutions to prevent robocalls from reaching consumers.
As of April 2020, this data is now available to developers via an API Endpoint. Historical data will be added as it becomes available.
