  • The FTC has received an application for the approval of a transaction from the following: Exxon Mobil Corporation. As required by Paragraph XIV.B. of the Commission's order in Docket No. C-3907, Exxon Mobil has entered into two Base Oil Supply Agreements. The agreements, with Castrol North America, Inc. and Pennzoil-Quaker State, would require the company to supply a cumulative total of 12,000 barrels per day of base oil.

    The Commission is seeking public comment on this application for 30 days, until June 12, 2000. Publication of Federal Register notices:

  • The FTC has approved the publication of a Federal Register related to the following: The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). In this notice, which will be published shortly, the Commission is announcing the opportunity for corporations, associations, organizations and other entities to participate as co-sponsors of the COPPA Communications Campaign. Co-sponsors will work with the Commission to develop and disseminate informational materials about COPPA and the related Rule, which went into effect in late April.
