The announcement made by the FTC on April 5, 1995 with the regard to the application for divestiture approval filed by Columbia/HCA Healthcare Corporation incorrectly characterized the divestiture agreement. The first paragraph of that announcement should have read:

Columbia/HCA Healthcare Corporation has requested Federal Trade Commission approval to divest the HCA Aiken Regional Medical Center in Aiken, South Carolina, to Universal Health Services, Inc., or any of Universal's affiliates. In turn, Universal Health Services would transfer to a subsidiary of Columbia/HCA two other hospitals it operates -- Dallas Family Hospital in Dallas, Texas; and Westlake Medical Center in Westlake, California.

Copies of the application and other documents associated with this case are available from the FTC's Public Reference Branch, Room 130, 6th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue N.W., Washington, D.C. 20580.
