Identity theft can happen anytime and at any age. Whether you’re working or retired, building your credit or have a lifetime of experience, identity thieves will target anyone. But taking steps to protect yourself can help you avoid identity theft — and knowing how to recognize the signs of identity theft early can help you recover if it happens to you.
