Event Description

The Federal Trade Commission, the Los Angeles Department of Consumer Affairs and the State Bar of California invite you to attend a conference on Working Together to Advance Protections for Immigrant Consumers. The conference will bring together legal services lawyers, law enforcement attorneys, and consumer advocates from around Southern California.

The conference will be held February 9, 2015, from 9 am to 12:30 pm at the State Bar of California’s building at 845 South Figueroa, Second Floor, Los Angeles, CA 90017.

The goal of the conference is to build relationships and explore ways we can better collaborate and share information and resources. It is a great opportunity to interact with others working on issues affecting immigrant consumers, such as notario fraud, work-at-home/job scams, and “affinity” scams.
