Event Description

Congressman Ted Deutch will join the Federal Trade Commission and the Florida Attorney General’s Office at a town hall event  in Boca Raton, Florida from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on February 20, 2013, to address the rising incidence of identity theft-related tax fraud in South Florida.  State and federal law enforcement partners and consumer advocacy groups, including the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Internal Revenue Service, U.S. Postal Inspection Service, FBI, Seniors vs. Fraud, and AARP Foundation Tax-Aide, will also participate in the program to discuss the problem and address ways to combat ID theft tax fraud.

In addition, on February 20 and 21, the Federal Trade Commission will join Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schulz for programs on ID Theft and Tax Fraud in Pembroke Pines and Sunny Isles, Florida.
