FTC sends second payment to people who paid for real estate investment coaching programs

The FTC is sending a second round of payments to customers who paid Zurixx for deceptive real estate investment coaching programs.

The FTC and the Utah Department of Commerce Division of Consumer Protection sued Zurixx and its owners alleging that the company used false promises to sell real estate investment training and coaching programs. To settle the lawsuit, the defendants agreed to pay money and to be banned from selling these programs in the future.

The FTC first sent payments in July 2024, which resulted in more than $10.3 million in refunds. Because there is still money remaining in the fund, the FTC is sending 19,744 payments totaling more than $1.8 million to people who accepted their first payment.
