FTC sends payments to people who paid Care.com

The FTC is sending 194,207 payments totaling more than $8.1 million to job seekers and job posters who paid online gig platform Care.com.

The FTC sued Care.com and the company paid money to settle. The FTC says Care.com misled job seekers about how many jobs were available on its platform and how much they could earn, costing a lot of people a lot of time and money. The FTC also said that Care.com made it hard for members to cancel their subscriptions.
