The Federal Trade Commission and the United States Postal Inspection Service will hold a media availability, following a one-day workshop for law enforcement, government, and community groups, to promote education and awareness of fraud aimed at Spanish-speaking consumers and to develop law enforcement response.

There will be brief remarks to discuss the outcomes of the workshop, followed by opportunities for interviews in English and Spanish, as well as demonstrations of OnGuard Online (www.onguardonline.gov) and Alerta en Línea (www.alertaenlinea.gov). A new quiz in Spanish to test consumer knowledge on what to do about spam will be introduced. Representatives from the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for Ohio and the U.S. Attorney’s Office also will be available. Media are welcome to arrive earlier (after 1:30 pm) for photos and video of the workshop in progress.
