FTC sends payments to Amazon Flex Drivers
The FTC is sending Zelle payments to eligible Amazon Flex drivers who had their tips withheld by Amazon between 2016 and 2019.
The FTC first sent payments in November 2021, then a second round of payments in May 2025, resulting in more than $60.6 million in returned tips. Now, the FTC is sending Zelle payments to people who didn’t cash their check.
If you get a Zelle payment, the payment will be deposited directly into your bank account with a note about the settlement. The FTC never asks you to pay money to get a refund
