FTC sends second payment to people who purchased motorcycle, motocross, and ATV parts
The FTC is sending a second round of payments to people who bought motorcycle, motocross, and ATV parts from Cycra.
According to the FTC, Cycra falsely claimed its motorcycle, motocross, and ATV parts were made in the United States. In reality, Cycra regularly imported parts from Asia and Europe for its products. The FTC entered into a settlement with Cycra, which required the company to pay money and banned them from making unqualified U.S.-origin claims.
The FTC first sent payments in May 2024, which resulted in more than $158,000 in refunds. Because there is still money in the fund, the FTC is sending 776 payments totaling over $11,000 to people who accepted their first payment.
