FTC sends payments to people who bought Hubble Contacts

The FTC is sending Zelle payments to people who bought Hubble brand contact lenses from Vision Path, Inc., and didn’t cash their check or accept their PayPal payment.

The FTC filed a complaint alleging that the company violated the Contact Lens Rule and misled customers. According to the complaint, the company didn't properly verify prescription information and substituted Hubble brand lenses when that was not the brand prescribed.

The FTC first sent checks in September 2022 and PayPal payments in May 2024, which resulted in more than $1.7 million in refunds. Now, the FTC is sending Zelle payments to people who didn’t cash their check or accept their PayPal payment.

If you get a Zelle payment, the payment will be deposited directly into your bank account with a note about the settlement. The FTC never asks you to pay money to get a refund.
