Subject: Using an e-signature to sign affidavit and certification
Hi all,
I have a client who as asked whether the officer of the UPE signing the affidavit and cert can use an e-signature. The documents will contain the standard “penalty of perjury” language. I have never had a client use an e-sig and would like to know if this is acceptable. Note, I have also never electronically filed HSR and that is not what will happen here – the filing will be delivered by hand.
