Federal Trade Commission and Louisiana Attorney Generals Office to Host Joint Press Conference in New Orleans

The Federal Trade Commission and the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office, with participation by the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, will hold a joint press conference on Monday, November 22, 2004, at 2:30 pm CST in New Orleans, Louisiana, to announce a coordinated law enforcement action against several defendants who allegedly ran a fraudulent grant-procurement company. The Louisiana Attorney General’s Office and the FTC received hundreds of written complaints from consumers nationwide regarding the company’s telemarketing scam.
