Acting Director of the Bureau of Consumer Protection Daniel Kaufman will testify before the Subcommittee on Consumer Protection, Product Safety, and Data Security. The hearing titled, “Curbing COVID Cons: Warning Consumers about Pandemic Frauds, Scams, and Swindles” will examine scams related to COVID-19 and Federal Trade Commission actions to stop these scams.

Acting FTC Chairwoman Rebecca Kelly Slaughter will testify before the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Consumer Protection and Commerce at a hearing entitled, “The Consumer Protection and the Recovery Act: Returning Money to Defrauded Consumers.” The hearing will take place virtually. Witness testimony, opening statements, and a live video of the hearing will be available on https://energycommerce.house.gov/
