Did you get a notice about the FTC’s settlement with Lanier Law? Apply now for a refund.

The FTC is sending claim forms to 2,503 homeowners who may be eligible for a refund.

The FTC sued Lanier Law and several related companies. According to the lawsuit, the defendants falsely promised to help homeowners. They said they could prevent foreclosure, modify home loans, and lower monthly payments and interest rates. They collected fees from homeowners but didn’t provide the help they promised.

The defendants used several names including:

  • Lanier Law LLC
  • Surety Law Group LLP
  • Redstone Law Group LLC
  • Fortress Law Group PC
  • Liberty & Trust Law Group of Florida LLC

As a result of the FTC’s lawsuit, the defendants were banned from the debt relief business, and Michael Lanier was disbarred. They were also required to pay money, which the FTC is using to provide partial refunds.

If you got an email or letter with a claim number, then you can request a refund.
