Consumer advocates, industry representatives, government regulators, technologists, and academics will take part in the upcoming workshop, "Paper, Plastic . . . or Mobile? An FTC Workshop on Mobile Payments," which will be held at the Federal Trade Commission Conference Center at 601 New Jersey Avenue, N.W., in Washington, DC on April 26, 2012.

The workshop, which is free and open to the public, will examine a wide range of issues, including the technology and business models used in mobile payments and the consumer protection issues raised.
