Issuance of final default judgments and orders of permanent injunction: The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida has issued two default final judgments and orders for permanent injunction against FTC defendants Money Movers, Inc. and Erastus Corning Davis, aka Corning Davis; and Gold Leaf Distribution, Co., Luz Amporo Ugarte and Jose V. Ugarte. The Department of Justice filed complaints on behalf of the FTC against both sets of defendants as part of Project Biz Opp Flop, a multi-agency law enforcement sweep targeting fraudulent business opportunities.
