The Federal Trade Commission’s Southwest Regional Office and the Navajo Nation Human Rights Commission will co-host a day-long seminar and roundtable for the Navajo Nation. The event will be held in English and Navajo, and cover topics including: debt collection and the Navajo consumer experience; repossession on and off the Navajo Nation; understanding credit scores and credit history, as well as credit reporting issues among the Navajo population; scams on and off the Navajo Nation; and developing strategies to educate and engage Navajo consumers on their rights.
