From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
After reading about the following items I am more than a little concerned about further federal intervention in the private lives and livelyhoods of American citizens. --The creation of a journalism division of AmeriCorps.-- It is not the government's job or the taxpayers responsibility to fund the education of others. There are education loans, grant programs and scholarship programs already in place for people seeking post-secondary education. --A direct journalism bailout fund to "help pay the salary of every journalist."-- I laready buy newspapers and magazines. It's not My responsibility as a taxpayer to pay the salaries of others. It's bad enough we have to support an over-inflated and corrupt welfare system.
