From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
I fail to understand what you find so terrifying about conservative speech. I also fail to understand why you are so opposed to the first amendment. Just because the left does not agree with certain things or can't get top ratings from the people does not give you or any government offical the right or reason to attempt to regulate speech whether on the radio, tv or the internet. There are many things that I find offensive on the radio, tv, the internet and even the movies. The best solution is to not watch. That lets someone else who does enjoy this alone. It does not intrude on their rights. Let it be. Know this--silence me then the day will come when you will be silenced. This is entirely different from being ignored which has been happening to the major news outlets for many years now. Maybe, just maybe, if news media just reported the news with no bias, maybe their ratings would improve. If government activities were reported the same way for all parties, we just might have a more honest and smaller government. Free speech has been part of the character of America since before our founding. Freedom of thought and freedom of action has been part of us since before our founding. November is fast approaching. Conservatism is on the rise. Leave the internet alone. Leave conservative talk radio alone. Leave conservative tv programs alone.
