From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
The Constitution and Bill of Rights grants "we the people" the right to free speech. Journalists that report the news are in a free and competitive business and their journey in that business should not be interfered with by the Federal Government. It is ludicrous to talk about training the new journalists and heaping more expense on the tax payers of this country. Any bailout of news agencies by the Federal Government will be met with a public uprising that could bring down the current government. This is one freedom you do not want to mess with. I hope you listen to "we the people" because we want to remain a free people and do not want our country becoming just another Banana Republic. The route this government is taking is much the same as that taken by Argentina years ago. Have you checked them out lately??
