From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
I am opposed to policy regulations to require taxpayers to pay for training the next generation of journalists. Educational institutions are quite adequate to train journalists in the same way that training is done for all other professional disciplines. No taxpayer funds should be used to bailout journalism/journalists. Frankly, there are too many individuals supported in the journalism field now. We, as a country, do not need 24/7 news. Journalism should be supported or declined if people are unwilling to pay for the information.
