From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
To Whom it may concern, You DO NOT have the Constitutional authority to force American taxpayers to pay for journalists to be "trained" through AmeriCorps or any other agency. You DO NOT have the Constitutional authority to designate or use American taxpayer funds to pay any part of any journalist's salary, or to use taxpayer funds to "bail out" any journalist or journalism-related entity. You DO NOT have the Constitutional authority to limit speech on the Internet. You DO NOT have the Constitutional authority to attempt to, or to actually limit free speech in ANY media, where such limits may infringe in any way on the First Amendment to the United States Constitution. Americans in HUGE numbers across the country are watching and listening - very carefully. We are staunchly opposed to the above activities, and we are prepared to litigate and/or contribute financially to litigation efforts in opposition to the above activities, up to and including the Supreme Court.
