From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
The news and information media is a free enterprise, free market venture. It must adapt to its consumers's interests and habits. Unfortunately, it hasn't. Due to its politically biased editorializing of facts and history, the "old media" has lost traction with a public that trust these sources less and less. No amount of government intervention will change that fact. Like any other free market enterprise the media must adapt and change with the market or die. The government and the taxpayers cannot be financially liable for failed and degenerating system.
