From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
We are becoming a paperless society. Why is it surprising that Many of the biggest papers are facing hard times? Those that keep up with the times, find new ways to deliver the news. Those that do not, loose readership. Attempting to bail out newspapers and to reinvent them is not the job of government regulatory bodies. It is the job of newspapers themselves. If they fail, so be it. Freedom of the press is not - and should not - be limited to the newsprint format. It is up to newspapers themselves to choose their method of delivery, and to create their fair market value.
