From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
Any attempt to bail out newspapers, TV or radio wil be in contrast to the First Amendment. Journalists of any kind should not be paid, trained, or subsidized by the Government. Tax payers are not to be forced to subsidize any point of view that they do not agree with. Any media organization that does not deliver what the people want to hear, and cannot survive by doing so, should be allowed to fail. Any organization that publishes or broadcasts information that may be against the current government is allowable by the Constitution. If some of that information is untrue or libelous, there are courts to settle the issue.
