From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
Do not attempt to "save" the failing media outlets by government action or bailouts. They should be self-supporting in a free market fashion. If they are not bringing in revenue because people are going elsewhere for their news, then they should be allowed to close. In my opinion, most of them have become propaganda organs for the liberal interests in the government, and this is why people do not give them credibility (rightly so) and do not purchase their products. The federal government should stay completely out of this process, as it is not their constitutional duty to intervene.
