From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
A journalist is one who presents information is an unbiased and objective manner. There are very, very few, if any, journalists in the news industry today; they are editorialists! An editorialist presents opinions, not necessarily based on fact, with the objective of foisting their views on others. The Government should not be financially supporting biased news. Oh for the days of Walter Cronkite. The only reason for the Government to support such and action is to ensure the Government receives the 'press' that puts it in a good light. There are too many other worthwhile programs that need the attention of our tax dollars. Note that was 'our' tax dollars; the tax revenue you receive is not yours, so abide by the wishes of the people for a change.
