From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
Since when does the federal government need to bail out the press? If that happens, the press would no longer be free, it would be beholden to the federal government. What happens on the inetrnet as far as news is also considered free speech, you cannot tax free speech. The tax payers in this country have had enough. We want no more bail outs. Let any business, that cannot run itself profitably, file for bankruptcy, re-organize and do what it needs to do to become a profit center again. In case you have forgotten, that is called the Free Market system, it has been practiced fairly widely in this country for hundreds of years. It works, quit messing with it. I cannot wait for November.
