From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
Gentlemen, Thank you for the opportunity to provide my input on the journalism industry and how it can survive and/or thrive. Actually, the industry is up against two monumental issues: (1) the industry is changing to an electronic format caused by available equipment that allows readers to become more efficient in reading the news; and (2)most readers want less liberal thoughts and more conservative ideas. Thus, the media must change to meet the requirements set forth by the consumer or go under. Under no circumstances should the federal government bail them out. Sincerely, Gerald Hecht
