From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
Any legislation, rule or law that limits the free expression of speech is absolutely and specifically prohibited by the US Constitution and should not be considered. Journalism in its new forms should not be taxed or censored in any way and legacy media and journalism should not be supported by tax dollars as this will unduly influence the fair reporting of the news particularly with regard to the actions of the government. If a media outlet cannot survive on the revenue it generates then it should be allowed to fail. It is the American Peoples right to choose who they support financially by choosing what information they wish to consume not through the use of tax dollars.
