From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
I am opposed to the government "bailout" of the media. As with any other industry, it should be allowed to live or die naturally. Consumers will support new providers and methods as change is inevitable, indeed, even desirable. We need not worry that information will not be available! Rather, we must be concerned about the possiblity that information will be censored. I am especially concerned about the media no longer being an independent voice, but a puppet of the government. This is not the way of the United States of America. Freedom of the press and freedom of speech must prevail.
