From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
The free market has worked well in communications since the beginning of this country. There is no need to change something that has been good these many years. If the press can not compete in the free market now, they need to take a look and see what is wrong and make the necessary changes rather than looking to the government to take care of them. Anything coming from the government will bring restrictive strings that they will later regret. FREE unrestricted speech is the backbone of our freedom and it does not need to be restricted in any way. Finding ways to tax free speech is the last thing the government should be doing. They really need to be looking for ways to protect and perserve freedom. Thank you for your attention.
