From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
I oppose any and all efforts to suppress free speech in the United States. I also oppose any government funded bailout of newspapers, magazines, media companies, radio, television, etc. If they cannot survive in the free market, they should be allowed to cease to exist. Evidently people are not interested in what they have to say and no bailout is going to change that. Stop taxing the American people to fund suppression of opposing ideology. Also, I don't support setting up a government controlled media outlet; we are not China, Russia or Iran nor do we want to be. It is not the government's job to train journalist in how to propagandize to the American public; we get enough of that from the education system. I do not support any form of the "Fairness Doctrine" - No matter what you choose to call it.
