From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
What the Internet has taught us is that Americans have a vital interest in the news and can shift for themselves the various slants that exitst. The popularity of (so-called) right-wing media testifies to the success of those media organizations that know their clients and respond. Conversely, the failure of other media is more a testament to poor judgments and Publishers who are out of synch with their audiences. This is particularly true with media outlets that are closest to their markets -- local TV, Radio and Newspapers. So, not an issued for the FCC -- entrepreneurs will and are addressing the problem.
