From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
I for one am fed up with unelected bureaucrats over-reaching their bounds. Who died and made you think you are God? The FTC's continual incursion into the market of ideas and the medium to convey those ideas is appalling! Your very organization is an affront to liberty and your actions only confirm that fact. The very nature of the open forum "The Federal Trade Commission will hold its second two-day workshop on the future of journalism (June 15th)" speaks for itself. Who the hell are you to even be considering such a discussion - - get your pompous asses out of the free exchange of ideas. Every industry needs to adapt to the changes inherrent with producing a product in a competitive environment but what is the FTC, FCC or for that matter Congress, messing with journalism? The simple answer is that, collectively, they are butting in where they don’t belong. Big Government has no right or power to bail out journalism in general or to try and fund a new, openly leftwing replacement. Shame on you! Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely - you moral busybodies have too much power and it shows.
