From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
I oppose your efforts to control speech. Freedom of speech and freedom of the press are basic fundamental rights guaranteed in the United States Constitution. It is what makes our country the great bastion of freedom that other nations aspire to. To curtail this freedom would be to walk away from what makes us different from oppressive nations whose citizens are unable to speak out against injustice. The ability to speak our minds is what allows our government to consider better ways to govern, and to make improvements in how our country operates. To do this, ALL sides of an issue must be heard and considered. Any attempt to muzzle a particular viewpoint does a great disservice to all citizens.
