From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
Some of the proposals discussed in the draft are unworkable. Some come dangerously close to government regulation of content. This area of human endeavor changes almost daily. It is much too soon to legislate or regulate at this level. We must wait for a degree of maturity in the field to be reached by natural market forces and events; at that time it may be appropriate to consider regulation or legislation. The current effort is like trying to regulate the width of freeway exits a year after Henry Ford brought out the Model T. Simply go home and await events.
